First Snow

These pictures were taken October 22. The next day was 70 degrees. But the kids had fun playing in the snow. They didn't even eat breakfast--they went straight outside. The school bus went by and all the kids had their faces pressed up against the windows watching us jealously. We came in and drank hot chocolate and felt grateful we could enjoy the first snow.

Monkey

Elizabeth is my monkey. She spends her day bouncing around the house. Sitting on the couch is dangerous. I get kicked. I am happy she is in gymanstics for a physical outlet. She does 3 hours a week. She can do 11 pull-ups. She climbs to the top of the rope. She hangs from a bar and lifts her feet to her head without bending her legs. They hold her in a handstand on the balance beam and she does pushups. She bends into a backbend and walks across the floor upside down. She stands with one leg straight in front of her, rolls back onto the floor and back up, still standing on one leg. She is stronger than Jeff and I put together. Physically and emotionally. I was scared to get her flu shot--it took 3 of us to pin her down to get x-rays at the dentist. At her Kindergarten shots, the nurse said, "that's the first time in 30 years that I've been kicked." She screamed bloody murder at her flu shot. And then I told Anna it was her turn, and after watching Elizabeth scream, Anna climbed up on my lap, pulled up her pant leg and took her shot without a peep. Wow.

Weather

We have had some beautiful fall weather. I have enjoyed Colorado Springs this fall. We went up to Breckenridge for a weekend and saw amazing fall colors. And it has been so warm. These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago. We were still wearing shorts. My kids love "building dams" and digging trenches in the backyard and watching the water go down their tunnels. Hours of fun.

Eden

I think Eden favors the Conley side more than Heath, poor thing. I am joking. Elizabeth also favors the Conley side and she is beautful, though I tell Jeff it took me a good year to forgive her for it. Andrew and Anna, I think, favor me. I like this picture of Eden because it shows her luscious lips that showed up so clearly in the ultrasound picture. So kissable.

Mom's Helper

Anna is a great help to me with Eden. She loves to feed Eden a bottle, give her a binky, change her diaper, bring her blankets, etc. She LOVES Eden. And I LOVE Anna. Anna is still my singer and sings loudly on car rides and before sleep. Anna thinks everything is better in a Tupperware and I find all sorts of tupperwares with glitter and tape and feathers all over them. If she can add water and soap and food coloring to her containers, all the better.
